Pet Friendly 3BR Home in SWH [Acadia Island House]

We were a family of six traveling to Acadia for a few days. This property was perfect for our needs and gave us everything we needed!

We had a wonderful stay here. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen equipment was all in working order and seemed brand new. Especially enjoyed the outdoor seating and fire pit for evenings. Regular coffee pot, filters and coffee provided as well as Keurig. Lots of magazines and brochures about the area; many games boards and such. Fantastic!

My family of 6 and 2 dogs stayed here for 5 nights. It's a lovely home! The pictures should be redone as they don't do it justice! This home is cheerful, bright and immaculately cleaned. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens. Kitchen was very well stocked. The kitchen island is cute but chairs are not very comfortable for sitting an extended period of time. The home is located in a quiet area. We enjoyed exploring the trails nearby which were each unique and beautiful. The few shops downtown are very nice. Little Notch Bakery is fabulous! We enjoyed their pizza and blueberry tart! Would also recommend Cafe Drydock. We were able to eat on the small deck with our 2 dogs and the food was delicious! Had a wonderful time and highly recommend visiting the shops in Bar Harbor. We loved the 2 1/2 hour trolley tour which includes a stop at the top of Cadillac mountain! We were able to bring the pups on the Nature Cruise at Bar Harbor whale watch co. It was a 2 hour ride and even though we didn't see much wildlife, except for a few seals, we really enjoyed it. Another highlight was having popovers and lunch at Jordan's Pond restaurant! The view from the outdoor seating (which also allowed us to bring the dogs) was gorgeous! We also enjoyed the 2 hour walk around the pond.We hiked different trails every day. Each one was fantastic. A wonderful vacation in Acadia at a lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay in Acadia! Southwest Harbor was charming and quiet, but a nice distance from all of the sites we visited. The home was charming, clean, and well-stocked. The proprietors were quick to respond. The kids especially loved the upstairs! 3 double beds and a futon—perfect for our families!

Beautiful property, centrally located to all activities. House is located on a property with a back house, but yard was very private. Everything was very clean, and every thoughtful amenity was provided. We would love to return next year.
